Residence Change certificate
This document is granted to Algerian citizens registered with the consular services and legally residing outside the country for a period of no less than (03) three consecutive years and who have never benefited from these procedures before. Upon their final return to Algeria, they are allowed to bring in a new car, home furnishings, household items and household appliances.

The total value of the transferred items
To benefit from customs exemption, the value of the car and luggage must not exceed the maximum limit, which is:
- 10,000,000 DZD (1 milliard centimeters) for employees
- 8,000,000 DZD (800 million centimeters) for students

- Inventory list: It is a list of personal items, indicating the condition and price
- Honorary statement
- A Car invoice and a copy of it
- A copy of the vehicle establishment certificate

The nature and power of the vehicle
The vehicle must be a touristic electric car, a piston-ignition (gasoline) or hybrid (gasoline-electric) vehicle for people transporting, with an engine displacement of 1800 cc or less; or an electric vehicle, a piston-ignition (gasoline) or hybrid (gasoline-electric) vehicle for transporting goods, with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding 5950 tons; or a two-wheeled vehicle subject to registered.
This vehicle may be new or less than 5 years old at the time of its entry into the country. Diesel vehicles (new or old) are excluded.
Important notes
- The period of delivery of the certificate of change of residence is 03 days
- The validity period of the residence change certificate is six months (06) from the date of its issuance, and accordingly, the property must be transferred to Algeria during this period, and after the expiration of this period, the consular services do not extend or renew the residence change certificate.
